Pour Over

You’ll need a few basics: a pour-over dripper (like our Brewedco V60 dripper), the correct paper filters, a gooseneck kettle for controlled pouring, a server or mug to brew into, and of course fresh coffee (ground to a medium grind). We offer a Pour Over Starter Kit that conveniently includes a dripper, filters, a server, and more — everything to begin your pour-over journey.

Our V60-style drippers use cone-shaped paper filters. Place a paper filter in the dripper and rinse it with hot water (to eliminate any paper taste and warm your equipment). Add your ground coffee, then pour hot water slowly and evenly over the grounds, usually in stages (bloom, then multiple pours). The Brewista X filters we offer (in 1-2 cup or 2-4 cup sizes) are high-quality and ensure proper flow rate, resulting in a clean, flavorful cup. Each filter is single-use and disposable for convenience.

While you can use a regular kettle, a gooseneck pour-over kettle gives you much better control over the water flow. Controlled pouring is important for even extraction in pour-over brewing. Brewedco's pour-over kettles are designed with a narrow spout that makes it easier to pour slowly and precisely. This helps you saturate all the grounds evenly, which can lead to a more balanced and delicious cup of coffee.
